Description

Sixteen chicken eggs or twenty-four quail, in a machine simple enough that a first-time hatcher can run the whole cycle from one panel. Nothing here needs a manual open on your lap.

Why hatchers pick this one

  • Water from outside, automatically. The external refiller tops up humidity without lifting the lid, which is the feature owners of small incubators mention most in reviews.
  • Turning every 90 minutes. Even heating, no embryo sticking to the shell, no daily task for you.
  • Rollers you can respace. The same tray takes chicken, duck, goose or quail eggs depending on how you set it.
  • Fan heating that recovers fast. It reaches the set point quickly and holds it, with a live temperature readout.

Read this before you order

This is a genuinely good first incubator. Twelve to sixteen eggs is a batch you can candle in one sitting, brood without building a second setup, and afford to lose while you learn. If you already know you want a full flock replacement each spring, start bigger.

Common questions

Is this a good first incubator?
Yes. It automates the two steps beginners get wrong — turning the eggs and adding water without opening the lid — and the batch size is small enough to learn on.

Can I run quail in it?
Yes, 18 to 24 with the rollers set narrow. Quail hatch on day 17 or 18 rather than day 21, so stop turning on day 15.

What is my first step after unboxing?
Run it empty for 24 hours and confirm it holds 99.5 °F and 45–50% humidity before a single egg goes in. Almost every disappointing first hatch skipped this.

What hatch rate is normal?
75–90% from fresh eggs out of your own flock, 50–75% from shipped eggs. On sixteen eggs, that is roughly twelve chicks from your own birds and eight to twelve from posted ones.

Care & cleaning

Unplug the incubator and let it cool before cleaning. Wipe the shell and the clear dome with a soft cloth and warm water with a little mild soap, then dry completely. Never submerge the base, and keep water away from the heating element and the fan.

Clean the tray and the water channels after every hatch. Shell fragments and membrane left behind are what cause bacterial problems in the next batch. Let every part dry fully before you store the unit.

Warranty

Every incubator is covered against manufacturing defects for 3 years from the delivery date. If the thermostat, the fan or the turner motor fails within that period, contact us with your order number and we will repair or replace the unit at our cost.

The warranty does not cover damage from drops, liquid inside the base, or use outside the stated temperature range.
