Description

Thirty-eight eggs sits in the gap most ranges ignore — more than a hobby batch, less than a commercial load. Adjustable rollers mean the same machine handles quail one season and duck the next.

Why hatchers pick this one

  • Turning every 2 hours, slowly. The tray moves gently enough that eggs do not shift or cluster, which is what keeps shells from sticking to the tray.
  • Rollers that adjust to the egg. Reset the spacing for chicken, duck, quail, pigeon or parrot eggs without buying another tray.
  • Water from outside the lid. Add water externally to raise humidity, with no heat lost to an open cover.
  • Battery backup included. Runs on 110V and switches to a 12V battery if the power fails.

Read this before you order

The built-in candler lets you check fertility on day 7 and development on day 14 without moving eggs to another room. Use it in low light — a bright room washes out the veining you are looking for.

Common questions

When do I candle, and what am I looking for?
Candle on day 7 and again on day 14. On day 7 a fertile egg shows a spider web of veins and a dark spot; a clear egg was never fertile and comes out. By day 14 the embryo fills most of the shell.

Does the battery backup need anything I do not have?
A 12V battery and the supplied clamp cable. Connect it at the start of the cycle so the switchover is automatic rather than something you have to be present for.

Can I hatch parrot eggs in it?
Yes, with the rollers set narrow. Incubation temperature is similar to poultry, but species vary in duration — check the figure for your particular bird before you set.

Why does the turner move so slowly?
Deliberately. Fast turning slides eggs into each other and clusters them at one end of the tray, which defeats the point.

Care & cleaning

Unplug the incubator and let it cool before cleaning. Wipe the shell and the clear dome with a soft cloth and warm water with a little mild soap, then dry completely. Never submerge the base, and keep water away from the heating element and the fan.

Clean the tray and the water channels after every hatch. Shell fragments and membrane left behind are what cause bacterial problems in the next batch. Let every part dry fully before you store the unit.

Warranty

Every incubator is covered against manufacturing defects for 3 years from the delivery date. If the thermostat, the fan or the turner motor fails within that period, contact us with your order number and we will repair or replace the unit at our cost.

The warranty does not cover damage from drops, liquid inside the base, or use outside the stated temperature range.
