Read this before you order

This unit is built for small eggs. Quail, pigeon and small chicken eggs fit 72 to a load. Large chicken eggs and goose eggs will not fit comfortably — if that is what you are setting, choose one of our larger-cell trays instead. We would rather lose the sale than have you find out on day one.

One setup note that matters: align the lid and base properly and close them fully. A poor seal is the most common cause of temperature and humidity swings on any incubator, this one included.

What temperature should I set for quail eggs?
Set 99.5 °F for quail, the same as chicken. Quail hatch on day 17 or 18 rather than day 21, so lockdown comes earlier — stop turning on day 15.

Can I really leave the lid closed the whole time?
Yes, through the incubation period. The pump refills water from outside, so the only reason to open the lid is candling — and even that is optional if you would rather not risk the humidity.

What hatch rate should I expect?
Roughly 75–90% from fresh eggs out of your own birds, and 50–75% from shipped eggs, which get shaken up in transit. A first hatch below that is almost always a temperature or humidity problem rather than the machine.

Unplug the incubator and let it cool before cleaning. Wipe the shell and the clear dome with a soft cloth and warm water with a little mild soap, then dry completely. Never submerge the base, and keep water away from the heating element and the fan.

Clean the tray and the water channels after every hatch. Shell fragments and membrane left behind are what cause bacterial problems in the next batch. Let every part dry fully before you store the unit.

Every incubator is covered against manufacturing defects for 3 years from the delivery date. If the thermostat, the fan or the turner motor fails within that period, contact us with your order number and we will repair or replace the unit at our cost.

The warranty does not cover damage from drops, liquid inside the base, or use outside the stated temperature range.
