Read this before you order

This unit needs a warm room. If your ambient temperature drops below 77 °F, it will struggle to reach and hold 100 °F unless you insulate it — wrap it in a foam box or a blanket. A garage in early spring is exactly the situation where people are disappointed. If your incubation space runs cold, pick a unit with stronger heating.

The water bottle is not included. Any clean squeeze bottle works.

How many eggs should a beginner start with?
Start with 6 to 12 chicken eggs. A small first batch is cheaper to lose, faster to candle, and far easier to brood once the chicks are out and need heat for six weeks.

Do I need to do anything to set the temperature?
No. It is preset to 100 °F out of the box. Run it empty for 24 hours first to confirm it holds — that single step prevents most failed first hatches.

Can I hatch quail in it?
Yes. Narrow the roller spacing and you can fit considerably more than 12. Quail hatch on day 17 or 18, so stop turning on day 15 rather than day 18.

What is the candler for?
Shining a bright light through the shell in a dark room shows whether an egg is developing. Fertile eggs show a web of veins by day 7; clear eggs come out.

Unplug the incubator and let it cool before cleaning. Wipe the shell and the clear dome with a soft cloth and warm water with a little mild soap, then dry completely. Never submerge the base, and keep water away from the heating element and the fan.

Clean the tray and the water channels after every hatch. Shell fragments and membrane left behind are what cause bacterial problems in the next batch. Let every part dry fully before you store the unit.

Every incubator is covered against manufacturing defects for 3 years from the delivery date. If the thermostat, the fan or the turner motor fails within that period, contact us with your order number and we will repair or replace the unit at our cost.

The warranty does not cover damage from drops, liquid inside the base, or use outside the stated temperature range.
